We went to the Pumpkin Patch for our first field trip. It was a gorgeous fall afternoon with a beautiful blue sky. The students had the opportunity to look at some farm animals, go down a slide, pretend to drive, and race rubber ducks using a water pump. They saw examples of ingredients that went into items like ketchup and cereal. A wide selection of squash and gourds were available to look at. Next up, everyone loaded up to go for a ride pulled by a tractor. Students got to pet some horses. The highlight for most students was to climb the playground made out of bales.
